Late afternoon on Highway 58 in Santa Margarita. Highway 58 is considered a cross-section of California. It's 241 miles long, and ends at Highway 101 in Santa Margarita. Late March, the very beginning of the Super Bloom. At this time of day, it was very eerie with no other cars on this narrow road.. But no doubt, this is a spectacular view! The purple flowers in the distance are probably Great valley phacelia. The abundant yellow flower are probably Goldfields.
