During my visit to the small fishing village of Plockton, there is a charming view of this small island. It is called "Tidal Island" and in Gaelic, it is known as "Eilean nan Gamhainn, which means "cattle island". The island is only accessible during low tide. It's full of thorny wild plants, a couple of picnic tables, some faint paths, and the odd rowboat. Don't forget to bring your wellies to deal with the mud. (And hopefully you remember to remember to return to the village while it's still low tide!)
