Single purple striped jelly fish at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. They hunt by trailing their long tentacles the are covered with stinging cels. When the tentacles touch tiny plankton, the stinging cells stick tightly and paralyze their prey. At that point, the prey is moved to their mouth-arms, then to the mouth where it is eaten. As with the purple striped jelly, this species is also mesmerizing and beautiful to watch. This is also available as an 11" x 17" paper size, since it works better than 11" x 14". It would look great if paired with 1-3 other jellyfish images, that are 11" x 14".
