Many of you may be familiar with Culloden because of the television series OUTLANDER. For those who are not familiar - Culloden is a battlefield where the 1745 Jacobite Rising came to a tragic and brutal end in April 1746. During the Battle of Culloden, Leanach Cottage was situated between the Government lines and it is likely the building would have been used as a field hospital for the government troops. The day I visited Culloden, it was an incredibly windy and rainy day - and that reflects in the image shown.
