The famous Lone Cypress on the 17 Mile Drive in Pebble Beach - Carmel, California. Monterey Cypress grow natively in just two places around the world - between Fanshell Beach and Pescadero Point in Pebble Beach, and across Carmel Bay at Point Lobos. It is believed that the tree is about 250 years old. After years of perseverance through decades (and a couple of centuries) of wind, rain, snow, heat and cold, the tree is sadly, quite fragile now.
